It?s About Time: State Governments Might Need To Lay People Off

July 31st, 2008 · No Comments

I won’t hold my breath on them actually do it though!  Government seems to be the only sector that never seems to lay people off, they usually just freeze hiring.  Let’s take a look at a few things that jump out:

  • No mention of cutting services to illegals even though most of the cities listed are Sanctuary Cities
  • llinois, governor Rod Blagojevich slashed $1.4 billion in social services. As a result, Safe Haven, a facility for homeless and drug-addicted mothers and their children, lost the majority of funding for their “Women with Children Program.” The $1.3 million program lost $900,000 of their funding, says Brian Dawson, the founder and manager of Safe Haven.

In a city with as many fat cats as Chicago has, Safe Haven only brings in $400,000 from the local foundations and private donations?  That’s insane!  That $900,000 could easily be made up and then some if someone took the time to point out to the people of Chicago, that in the election cycle of 2008, Chicago residents donated  $62,869,383 to various political campaigns.

  • How many of these cities have bloated payrolls?
  • Why are the cops taken off the road, yet illegals continue to take advantage of social services?
